How You Win At Civic Activism - Case Study Tom Oltorik
Lessons we can all use
We’ve recently been given a great lesson and case study on civics by a powerful citizen Tom Oltorik.
What he’s done can be a lesson for all of us.
So let’s dig in.
Tom will tell you he’s just an ordinary citizen. A pilot by training Tom was drawn in by what he saw happening in his industry.
And he shows you just what any of us can do.
Working on behalf of Florida Freedom Flyers (soon to be rebranded as part of MoveFreelyAmerica.org) Tom got deep into the medical freedom movement. He started speaking out.
He made friends along they way.
And then an opportunity came. The blemished SB 7014 bill was passed by the Florida legislature and was headed to the Governor for signature.
What did Tom do?
This has not been widely reported, yet. But he started an amazing coalition of freedom groups. The core of the 35 groups and leaders that would sign the February 14, 2022 letter to Governor Ron DeSantis about SB 7014 and medical freedom (https://www.amfreedomii.com/february-14-2022-letter-to-florida-governor-desantis)
He worked tirelessly behind the scenes on behalf of MoveFreelyAmerica.org to get consensus to sign the letter.
And once the letter came out he didn’t stop.
He kept in contact with the groups. He talked the media. He build the base. He then explained the letter to just about everyone he could find at the Florida State Capitol.
Tom and MoveFreelyAmerica.org moved the needle for freedom.
Tom deserves our thanks.
And the American Freedom Information Institute, Inc. sends our heartfelt thanks.
But Tom is also a case study of what we all can do if we can find our special way of helping.
We’ll be partnering more with Tom in the future. So get ready. We’ve got more ways for you to get involved.
And we’ll give you more updated on SB 7014 as we get them.
