Sometimes it’s good to step back to look at the big picture.
It can give us clarity in analysis and focus in our discussion.
It we are going to improve medical freedom we need to know where to focus.
Here are 3 major issues I see today.
#1 - Forced medical procedures
In Florida - and other states - laws state that the government can force medical treatment on individuals.
Obviously such laws should only be used in the most extreme situations. To the extent these laws exist, they need to be limited in use and contain substantial due process protections for the individuals.
#2 - Lack of access to medicine and procedures
In Florida - and other states - the system is such that individuals can be denied medical treatment even if their doctors agree to such treatments.
#3 - Hidden information
We still have a wall of hidden information. Part of this is that large players can block access to information.
Meanwhile doctors and nurses fear to tell the truth and express their opinions for loss of their licenses or ability to practice.
There seems to be no accident that most of the doctors speaking out are retired or later in their careers.
Knowing where the issues are can help us clarify our thinking.
Which issues do you think our legislature should address first?

Please consult your own attorney on your situation and to get legal advice about your circumstances. Courts are unpredictable may disagree with the author’s opinions.
